PTC Creo Elements/Direct

PTC's Creo Elements/Direct Modeling is an advanced 3D Solid Modeling System based on "Direct modeling" technology.
Direct Modeling features a new CAD design concept. It allows engineers to develop high precision 3D solid models without any parametric history based constraints. 3D Models from other CAD Systems can be imported into the Direct Modeling CAD Systems without any problems.
High accuracy of the product's analytic and free form geometry assures manufacturability of the design process, guaranteeing the data integrity.

Modeling is supported with Computer Aided Manufacturing and Finite Element Analysis applications.

Product Modules

Cabling

is a 3D CAD solution for creating cablings and wire harnesses and includes all the advanced technologies for harness design, like auto-routing, bi-directional interface to any E-CAD System, flattenning of the harness, electrial libraries etc.

Sheet Metal

is a special application for Sheet Metal industries for the design and manufacture of sheet metal parts and can generate an accurate 2D drawing of a flattened sheet metal part.

Surfacing

enables the user to create stylized surfaces and design freeform shapes, thus combining freeform surfacing and solid modeling in one environment

Advanced Design

enables the user to establish physical and mechanical relationships within assemblies, add parametric features to parts, design plastic parts faster, simplify models and communicate with coordinate measuring systems.

Mold Base

creates complete mold base assemblies including all elements, accessoires and cooling channels from the standards components.

Finite Element Analysis

checks for stress, displacement distribution or temperature on the part, makes designers aware of areas of concerns and inform them for possible design changes.

Drafting (ME10)

is a professional 2D Design and Drafting solution, offering sophisticated tools for creative initial design, fast modifications, parametric design, a powerful Automatic Dimensioning Module and raster data input possibility.

Model Manager

is a PDM (Product Data Management) solution that organizes your designs and associated files in a database and allows you to find parts and assemblies with version control, access rights and share them in a secured way.

BOM Editor

is tightly integrated within Creo Elements/Direct Model Manager and Creo Elements/ Direct Drawing Manager to provide a real-time, seamless BOM management in 2D and 3D.

3D PDF Converter

converts 3D product design data to view and embed them in PDF documents to produce rich, interactive U3D-based 3D PDF documents for authoring tools such as Adobe Acrobat®.
